The home that is the object of this project, occupies the second floor of a Traditional Architecture building, built in 1920. The building has been the subject of some interventions throughout its years of life., although some of them are not very successful, such as the case of the renovation of the staircase and the entrance of the house, or drilling the load-bearing wall for the construction of two windows.

The general state of conservation was good., although cracks were observed in the partitions, some important, as was the case of the partition of a bedroom that had become loaded as a result of the excessive bending of the floor on which it rested. Thus, the new distribution proposed with this Rehabilitation, It is articulated thanks to the large common and totally open central space, which serves as a living area, dining room and kitchen, occupying the latter, the same place as the original to avoid possible installation problems.

This common space, turned to the main southeast façade, tries to give prominence to the wall of 12 meters in length, freeing it from partitions and letting the light from the windows filter into the space without filters.

On the other hand, laminated plasterboards were used for the ceilings, that replaced the existing ones and gave uniformity to the space, highlighting the structural trusses that were recovered and put into value, letting them be the protagonists of the space, since they run through the house from side to side creating a unique vision.

Both natural and artificial light, has been a constant in this project. Open the living room kitchen dining room, It made the southern light penetrate throughout its entire length to give warmth and a feeling of home to the space.. On the other hand, the artificial LED light that was placed on the wall, at the base of the beams, It gives a very pleasant atmosphere at sunset, highlighting the stone and the wooden structure..

In the case of pavements, the existing solid wood flooring was restored. The work consisted of dismantling the boards, repair them and reassemble them on the entire surface.
